When machine not in test mode, computer won't get to login screen, just shortly after the animated windows logo loads, then black screen, locks up. However, front panel audio never worked with either the HD-Audio connector, or the AC97 conntector.

Put computer into test mode (I was willing to make this change permanently), and driver signing issue went away, and sound worked again. Sound worked briefly, then upon reboot, "driver not digitally signed"ģ. Got card to install by moving it between the open PCI-e slots. Installer would take 10 minutes, then say the card wasn't found in the system.Ģ. Driver installation was terrible, even with 3rd party Uni Xonar drivers, didn't work. Pros: Of the two times I actually got it to work, sounded great and was a vast improvement over my onboard sound.Ĭons: 1. Very sad this doesn't' run at 4400 as specified in the documentation, but when overclocking, sometimes it's the luck of the draw / silicon lottery. I started at 4400, and backed it down by 100Mhz increments and tested each step. I'm currently running with XMP enabled, 4000Mhz and it is mostly stable, with very rare BSOD's. I have read that some people have better results using 16GB, whereas I have 32GB.

HDD: SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB PCIe Gen 3.0 x4, NVMe It's not running at 4400 as specified, so I knocked 2 stars. BSOD's on windows installation, during large file transfers, or any sort of gaming. Seemingly great quality.Ĭons: Cannot get board to run 32GB of DDR4 memory at 4400Mhz stable, ever.
Pros: Everything about this motherboard seems on-par (build quality, aesthetics, features, etc) with all the other major motherboard manufacturers.
